The lure of a night dedicated to Nick Cave proved to be too much to resist for many and attracted our largest crowd up to this point. There were fantastic covers from Adam Donen who was joined onstage by some sublime backing singers as he performed his version of ‘Lime Tree Arbour”, Kit Sam Kirr performed a radically different take on “The Mercy Seat” and later joined The Reverse for their version of “The Weeping Song” and a sneak preview of new song “Then They Came For Us”. Gabriel Kain wowed the crowds with his delicate fingerpicked guitar and gorgeous voice. Kinkajou (Now known as Slate Islands) gave a dark and theatrical take on “Red Right Hand”. The night ended with The Joker & the Thief who’s crazed blues swagger lifted the roof off the Boogaloo.
