On 17th Oct 2011 we played tribute to the thin white spider from Mars himself DAVID BOWIE…

There were loads of great performances including: Rob McCabe’s stunning ‘Ashes to Ashes’, Zeth Townsend’s haunting take on ‘Quicksand’, Helen McCookerybook’s revelatory ‘Laughing Gnome’ & I (Nat the Hammer) just about managing to get the high bits and the riff on ‘Andy Warhol’.
My Mate George performed an ace re-working of ‘Let’s Dance’ and Mark Nevin was in the enviable position of not only being able to play ‘The Little Bombadier’ but performing a song of his own that David Bowie once covered!!
The Lucky Face played ‘God Knows I’m Good’ and paid his own unique tribute to Rolf Harris while Sergeant Buzfuz performed ‘Queen Bitch’ & succumbed to popular demand by playing his own modern classic ‘Here Come The Popes’.
Orlando Seale & The Swell topped off proceedings performing their new single as well as a delicate interpretation of ‘Moonage Daydream’.
