Bob Marley Blog Post 2: K Zorro

Here’s the second (and final) blog post written by acts performing at our Under The Influence Bob Marley special at The Boogaloo on 15th Sept.
Here K Zorro tells us what Bob Marley means to him.

K Zorro is a Rapper/Producer/Songwriter hailing from North London. The son of a popular German 80s soul band singer, music has been coursing through his veins for as long as he can remember. He has performed all over the world, from Germany, France, to Cuba and beyond. His witty and insightful rhymes are married to traditional Hip hop styles with contemporary rock, indie and electronic dance music. Stars such as uk Hip Hop Legend Chester P (of TaskForce fame),Mercury nominee Lianne La Havas and even legendary Hip Hop Dj 279 have sung his praises.

Bob Marley has always been one of the most influential musicians for me, indeed growing up his unique brand of philosophical storytelling and messages of peace had a major effect on me musically.

From a family which includes jamaican heritage within it’s rich mixture, I have always identified with Bob as a source of immense inspiration. My favourite track would have to be ‘Cornerstone’, as the metaphors used in that song are just sublime.
